Da Nang calls for investment in urban railway project
The Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency is calling for investment in the Da Nang Urban Railway project connecting Da Nang International Airport with My Khe Beach.
Specifically, Da Nang will develop 8 urban railway lines, including 2 mass rapid transit (MRT) lines and 2 light rail transit (LRT) lines by 2030; and 4 LRT lines and 1 bus rapid transit (BRT) line by 2045 (according to the transport network development plan in the Da Nang Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 359/2021/QD-TTg dated March 15, 2021).
Specifically, the priority route of the project proposed in the Da Nang Master Plan will be the Da Nang International Airport - Tran Thi Ly Bridge - My Khe Beach route.
The investment objective is to build a transport project combined with urban redevelopment along the LRT corridor with a main route of 14.9 km long, with 19 new stations and 1 depot. The project calls for investment in the form of public-private partnership.
