In the city, there are hundreds of digital space experience points of both government and business levels. The models all aim at community values in the spirit of raising awareness and knowledge for people, helping to increase skills and information on using devices and technology platforms in real life as well as online public services.
In addition, the digital space experience model is also a bridge to help businesses and startups in the technology sector in Da Nang make more development strides. Investment and market connection events will help people have the opportunity to access new products and services, and connect with creative startup projects.
According to Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy, the Head of the Marketing Department of VR360 Joint Stock Company, Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District, some of the solutions that his company is developing include virtual reality (VR); augmented reality (AR); internet of things (IoT); 3D technology experience; 360 degrees; smart digital maps and solutions to build a state block to develop online public services.
Another benefit is the ability to connect the community, leading users to experience famous tourist attractions in the city such as Dragon Bridge, Han River Bridge, Sun World Ba Na Hills and Ban Co (Chessboard) Peak. Here, people will be able to participate in experiential activities such as visiting the city using VR technology, exploring history and culture through AR applications on phones, or even learning about smart solutions for daily life.
Establishing and promoting technology products through experiential spaces is a common trend of many businesses, typically the Da Nang branch of the Viettel Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel Da Nang) has deployed dozens of digital space experience points, 5G services widely throughout the city.
As reported by Mr. Huynh Ngoc Thuong, the Director of Viettel Da Nang, recently, the enterprise has established many digital space experience points with devices such as VR glasses, AR technology, other platforms belonging to the Viettel technology ecosystem targeting groups of tourists, residents, students at the Universities of Education and Economics under the University of Da Nang and the park at the eastern end of the Dragon Bridge.
Not only businesses, recently, Hai Chau District has opened the first digital technology experience space located in Nam Duong Ward with an area of about 30m2, with a total investment of more than VND250 million. This space is fully equipped with devices such as large touch screens, tablets, laptops and fixed information search engines.
As assessed by Mr. Nguyen Phuc Bao Nam, the Chairman of Nam Duong Ward People’s Committee, with this model, people will improve their skills in using technology devices, improve their knowledge of digital transformation, and make it convenient to use online public services towards the whole process. After putting this space into use, Nam Duong Ward will closely coordinate with relevant units, agencies, businesses to periodically organise publicity activities, training, and introduce policies, technology products, and new platforms here. Thereby, people are not only encouraged to participate in technology activities but also invited to share their knowledge and experiences.
Vice Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee Phan Thi Thang Loi acknowledged that the digital technology experience space in Nam Duong Ward is a pioneering pilot activity in the district's direction with the motto of digital transformation towards the community. Therefore, the district recommends that Nam Duong Ward as well as other wards in the district learn from experience to plan to build other spatial points in other areas in 2025.
In the future, this urban district will coordinate with businesses and relevant units to increase the number of pages and equipment to enrich and diversify the experience products for people, thereby contributing to promoting digital transformation in the community more strongly and with more beneficial results. With the support of technology, people will easily access public services, improve the quality of life, and help enhance the city’s competitiveness. The digital space experience model is not simply a technological space but also a home for interaction, connection and learning.
