An awards ceremony for the Viet Nam National Quality Awards and Asia-Pacific Awards for 2021-2023 was held in Ha Noi on Wednesday, announcing 133 winners of the prestigious national awards and two others of the regional awards.

Among the honourees, three enterprises from Da Nang won the National Quality Awards. Particularly, the Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd. based in Lien Chieu District, and the Central Power Electronic Measurement Equipment Manufacturing Centre - a branch of the Central Power Corporation, earned the National Quality Gold Awards. The Da Nang branch of the Bien Dong Electrical Automation Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. located in Hoa Vang District took the National Quality Award.

The National Quality Award, formerly known as the Viet Nam Quality Award which was launched in 1996, has been upgraded and expanded to become one of the most prestigious awards in the field of quality in Viet Nam.

The award aims to honour typical organisations and enterprises in recognition of their outstanding achievements in production and business activities, as well as their efforts in enhancing productivity and quality, creating many high-quality products, goods and services, and making positive contributions to the cause of local socio-economic development.

Enterprises participating in the award are evaluated based on 7 criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige Award, including the role of leadership; strategic planning; customer orientation; measurement, analysis and knowledge management; human resource orientation; process management; and performance results.

Since 1996, more than 30 businesses in Da Nang have won the notable awards, including 5 National Quality Gold Awards and 1 Asia-Pacific Quality Award.
