British magazine Time Out has just unveiled its list of eight ideal destinations to visit in Asia in 2025, with Da Nang, the sole representative from Viet Nam, securing third place on the list.

According to Time Out, Da Nang has long been a favourite beach destination for regional travellers. Also, it stands out for its beautiful beaches, amazing Son Tra Peninsula with fresh and cool climate, numerous entertainment options, and diverse culinary experiences, meeting all the criteria for the selection.

Notably, many tourism products will be put into operation in 2025, including the original "Revolution Express" steam train which will operate on the Hue - Da Nang railway through the Hai Van Pass.

The magazine emphasised that this coastal gem is rapidly evolving, catching up to Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi with an emerging dining and bar scene.

This year alone, Da Nang made waves with 16 new Bib Gourmand entries in the Michelin Guide – including the contemporary Indian hotspot Rang – and its first Michelin star at the Frtench fine-dining restaurant, La Maison 1888, Time Out recommended.

Topping the list is Sumba Island, a pristine Indonesian island located about 50 minutes by plane from Bali. Sumba was also recently highlighted by Forbes as an unmissable destination. Second place is Siargao Island, a popular surfing destination in the Philippines.

Others on the list are Tainan (Taiwan, China), Ipoh (Malaysia), Osaka (Japan), Nan (Thailand), and Lijiang (China).
