Da Nang to host Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities 2025
Over 500 domestic and international partners will gather in Da Nang for the Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities slated to take place from January 16 - 18, 2025.
The event will be held at the Da Nang Administrative Centre and the Ariyana Convention Centre Da Nang in both offline and online formats.
It is anticipated to provide an ideal venue for Government leaders, representatives of relevant ministries, ambassadors, governors, and leaders of more than 50 localities which have established friendly and cooperative relations with Da Nang, to meet and share development experiences.
At the same time, it will offer a chance for Da Nang to look back on the achievements on the multilateral cooperation map, thereby expanding and tightening international relations in such important spheres as innovation, smart city development, hi-tech, urban planning and sustainable tourism.
The forum will feature the official session "Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities" themed "Convergence and diffusion" and two thematic sessions "International cooperation to promote business investment by taking advantage of new trends" and "International cooperation to promote tourism development".
In addition, there will be an exhibition of friendship and cooperation cities, and a series of cultural exploration activities, including visiting flower streets, planting friendship trees and building a suspension bridge for the red-shanked douc langurs on the Son Tra Peninsula.
The forum marks the first international diplomatic event to kick off the coastal city's diverse international events next year to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang.
To date, Da Nang has established friendly and cooperative relations with 49 localities of 22 countries and territories worldwide with 105 signed agreements. As of October 25, 2024, Da Nang attracted 1,011 projects with a total investment capital of more than US$ 4.35 billion.
