As usual, the Coastal Security Patrol Team under the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches conducts patrols to ensure absolute safety of tourists. The job seems simple but leaves a good impression on tourists.
Ms. Tran Hoai Linh, a tourist from Thanh Hoa Province still cannot forget the time the coastal tourism security patrol team helped her track down her missing phone that had been unintentionally left while playing team building at the My Khe beach.
Ms. Linh said that at that time she could not find her phone and was quite panicked because the information and data contained in the missing phone were quite important. After contacting, the members of the Patrol Team assisted her in the search, even mobilising a metal detector. After one hour, the phone was retrieved.
“I am truly touched by the team’s dedication, it is not only a duty but also a humane thing. If I have the chance, I will return to this beautiful and friendly city,” said Linh.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Van, the Deputy Head of the Patrol Team to ensure security and order for beach tourism, said: “What we receive in return is the thanks from tourists, they even write letters or simply take souvenir photos with us. They write and share about the trip on social networks, along with the promise to return to Da Nang one day. That is the greatest encouragement for us to try our best every day.”
In an effort to ensure the absolute safety for tourists, in 2025, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches will continue to promote the model of ‘Coordinated patrols to ensure security and order for beach tourism”.
In particular, focus will be on inspection and strengthening management to ensure security, order and safety of tourists, managing environmental sanitation and natural landscapes at the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches.
Choosing Da Nang for his trip in early 2025, Mr. Chaypon Chomchaiya, a Thai national, said that this was his first time in the city, through friends and the media, the image of Da Nang with famous tourist attractions such as the Ba Na Hills tourist area or the friendliness and hospitality really attracted him.
The Management Board of the Marble Mountains Tourist Area has identified ensuring the safety of tourists, security and order, and fire prevention and fighting as key tasks to be implemented in 2025.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, safety is the factor that tourists put first when choosing a tourist destination. Therefore, this is also a priority task for the Department and related functional agencies. With a regard to security and safety of tourist attractions, relevant local agencies are ensuring security and order, traffic safety, food safety, beach rescue, preventing pickpockets and tourist harassments, especially during festivals, events and peak tourist seasons, and welcoming international cruise ships.
Tourist support work is actively deployed through the Tourist Support Centre and the Tourism Rapid Response Team to timely receive feedback from domestic and foreign tourists, thereby directly implementing inspection and verification or asking for relevant departments to thoroughly handle tourists’ feedback.
“Da Nang has built the brand and appearance of a friendly and hospitable tourist city. In 2025, in the communication plan, tourism promotion and tourism stimulus programme, we also pay special attention to promoting the brand of friendly and hospitable Da Nang to domestic and foreign tourist markets.”, said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, the Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism.
