City Partnership Forum – Da Nang 2025
The City Partnership Forum – Da Nang 2025 (Meet Da Nang 2025) is taking place from January 16 to 18 at the Ariyana Convention Centre. This outstanding event marks an important milestone in the central coastal city's development efforts to promote international cooperation and diplomatic dialogue.

The event, under the significant theme' Meet Da Nang 2025 - Together for Blooming', facilitates highly meaningful and practical exchanges among cities worldwide having cooperative relations with Da Nang. It is an important event opening the city’s foreign affairs activities in 2025.
The event is also of highly significance to strengthening international cooperation and enhancing the position and prestige of Da Nang in the region, and the world at large.
The forum is in progress for the time being in a combination of in-person and online formats. According to Director of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Xuan Binh, following the great success of ‘Meet Da Nang 2024’, the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs has advised the municipal People's Committee to organise this forum.
It is an important foreign affairs event in 2025, making an important milestone in the city with a series of events celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Da Nang liberation.
The forum features about 30 bilateral meetings between the city’s leaders and ambassadors and consuls general of countries in Viet Nam; governors, provincial governors, mayors of cities having cooperative ties with Da Nang, along with representatives of international organisations and potential businesses.
Many international agreements are scheduled to be signed at the forum such as the Da Nang People’s Committee inking memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on cooperation with the city of Genoa (Italy) and the city of Aktau (Kazakhstan).
Also at the forum, the city leaders plan to award certificates to units accompanying the city in promoting brands and organising events and festivals in 2025, grant investment registration certificates and investment certificates to a number of projects in the city, and MoUs of cooperation between 5 parties on semiconductor and AI training.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, the forum offers an opportunity to meet and connect nearly 500 domestic and international partners, especially the presence of ambassadors, provincial/municipal governors and leaders of more than 30 localities having friendly and cooperative relations with Da Nang.
This is also a special occasion for Da Nang to look back on its outstanding achievements in international integration and cooperation in recent times, thereby expanding international cooperation in important areas that the city is interested in such as innovation, smart city development, high technology, urban planning and sustainable tourism.
“The forum, the first of its kind in Da Nang, is now welcomed by the domestic and international community. Once again, Da Nang strongly affirms its remarkable position as a growth and integration pole of the Central Viet Nam - Central Highlands, and Viet Nam as a whole,” said Mr. Binh.
The forum highlights the official session ‘Forum of Friendly and Cooperative Cities’ and two thematic sessions ‘International cooperation to promote investment and business taking advantage of new trends’ and ‘International cooperation to promote sustainable tourism development’.
In addition, the forum highlights events such as the exhibition of friendship and cooperation cities opening to the public on the 1st floor, the APEC Park, from January 16 to 19; a series of activities to explore Da Nang culture such as planting friendship trees at the Son Tra Friendship Park, visiting the Museum of Da Nang, APEC Park and Bach Dang flower street. These are interesting experiences for international friends about a dynamic, civilised, harmonious Da Nang, a place worth living and investing in.
Up to now, Da Nang has established friendly and cooperative ties with 49 localities of 22 countries, and 105 bilateral cooperation agreements have been inked in the areas of economic development, science and technology, culture, education, and national defence and security, thereby enhancing the position and prestige of Da Nang in the world according to the motto ‘Proactive, synchronous, timely, creative, effective’ and ‘Connecting Da Nang with other parts of the world’.
Especially from 2024, international cooperation at the local level has increasingly gone into depth with many international cooperation agreements signed and implemented between districts, departments, branches and enterprises with potential and key regional and international partner localities.
