Da Nang hosts many cultural and artistic activities in 2025
2025 marks many major national holidays, and is also the year to organise party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress. Organising cultural and artistic activities well not only creates joy and excitement for people to enjoy the Spring and celebrate the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, but also creates new momentum and motivation, successfully carrying out tasks in 2025 right from the first months of the year.

Immense national cultural identity
Along with paying attention to Tet for rural people, this year the Hoa Vang District People’s Committee will organise the Tet Festival 2025 from January 17 to 21, 2025 taking place in main areas including the Hoa Vang District Administrative Centre, Quang Xuong Street, Tuy Loan night street with many unique cultural spaces including: Vietnamese Tet Space; space of the old Tet market; art calligraphy space; folk game space; check-in point in the Vietnamese Tet space; photo contest ‘Old Tet memories’; display of Tet trays; contest of making ‘banh chung’ (square glutinous rice cakes) and ‘banh tet’ (cylindrical glutinous rice cakes); flower bicycle parade, Tet carrying performance, spring outing and folk competitions.
At the Vietnamese Tet space, each commune will recreate the old Tet market including trading shops, ‘ao dai’ stalls, flower market stalls and display and sell local Tet specialties to serve the people.
Mr. Nguyen Thuc Dung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hoa Vang District People’s Committee said that this year’s Tet festival aims to honour the beauty of traditional culture, help people understand more about the meaning of the traditional Tet holiday and the rituals during Tet, thereby, arousing love for the homeland, contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional Tet customs of the nation.
In addition to the Tet Festival 2025, many tourist areas in the district have also planned to organise festival programmes to serve tourists and local residents. This year, the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park tourist area will organise the 2025 Than Tai Festival during 15 days from January 30 to February 13, 2025 with many meaningful activities.
Meanwhile, in the three days from January 30 to February 1, 2025, the Toom Sara Village in Da Nang will organise the Tet 2025 programme with the desire to bring tourists and locals a cozy and meaningful Tet space filled with traditional cultural activities of the community. In particular, in addition to folk games, there is also a program to stage the festival space of the Co Tu people with the performance of “tung tung - da da” dance on the background of traditional music and sacred Gong sounds.
Diverse events
With the vision of developing cultural tourism not only contributing significantly to the preservation and promotion of heritage values but also enhancing the value of the national brand on the world tourism map, in recent times, the city has focused on promoting the traditional, historical and cultural values of Da Nang people and considering this as an internal strength to develop the city in the new period.
In particular, in the programme to ring in Tet 2025 festival, the city organises a variety of cultural and artistic activities from traditional to modern, helping locals and tourists immerse themselves in a new year full of vitality.
Typically, at a park on the east bank of the (Rong) Dragon Bridge, an art programme to celebrate the Party and welcome Spring 2025 will take place on January 17, 2025, New Year’s Eve art programme to celebrate Tet 2025.
In addition, there are other special cultural and artistic programmes such as a street magic show at the park on the west bank of the Dragon Bridge, the cultural and artistic exchange programme ‘Han River Dance’ at the crescent circle, the Tet market programme at the Da Nang Museum, the programme ‘Tet - Spring of Love’ at the APEC Park, the art exhibition ‘Spring Love’ at the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts.
