Da Nang ready to welcome over 456,000 visitors during Tet 2025

During the continuous 9-day break for the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025 from January 25 to February 2, Da Nang is expected to welcome more than 456,000 tourists, an increase of 13.5% compared to last year's holiday, more than 221,000 of whom are foreigners.

The coastal central city’s tourism industry has prepared new products and accommodation facilities to serve locals and tourists during Tet.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism has issued an official dispatch requesting tourism service businesses across the city to ensure customer service and organise highly-inviting activities during Tet.
The Da Nang International Airport is expected to handle approximately 1,275 domestic and international flights during the holiday period.

The fights operated by Viet Nam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and AirAsia will bring tourists to Da Nang from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Malaysia, among other countries.

Additionally, two cruise ships will carry 800 visitors from the US and UK, who will explore local attractions like the Marble Mountains, the Linh Ung Pagoda, and the Museum of Cham Sculpture.

The city will organise a welcome ceremony, give flowers and gifts to the first visitors to the locality on the first day of the lunar new year.

On this occasion, the city will also organises many attractive activities and events to serve both local inhabitants and tourists such as Bach Dang Spring Flower Street lasting nearly 5 months (starting from January 15 to May 1, 2025); organise firework displays on New Year’s Eve of the Lunar New Year 2025 at 3 locations and tourist boats on the iconic Han River.

Along with that are the art programme serving the Lunar New Year 2025 and celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, ‘Welcome Spring 2025’, the cultural and artistic exchange programme celebrating the Lunar New Year 2025.

Tourist areas and spots such as the Mable Mountains Scenic Area, Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Museum of Da Nang, Da Nang- Mikazuki Japanese Resorts and Spa are open all days during the Tet holiday break.

At the Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park, the ‘2025 Than Tai (God of Wealth) Festival’ will run from January 30 to February 13, featuring cultural and spiritual activities that celebrate traditional Vietnamese beliefs.

With expanded programmes and diverse offerings, Da Nang aims to position itself as a premier destination for cultural and festive experiences during Lunar New Year 2025.
