Da Nang's information and communications sector strives for a 10-11% increase in revenue 2025
In his remarks at the Tuesday conference to summarise the performance of the information and communications sector in 2024 and deploy new tasks for 2025, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong highly praised the consensus and efforts of the sector in fulfilling its tasks in 2024.

This result created trust between businesses and the government and between the government and businesses, thereby boldly building mechanisms and policies to promote the development of the sector.
Emphasising that 2025 was a very important year for the country and the city, the Vice Chairman Cuong requested the information and communications sector to continue to uphold its gained results and further promote the set tasks.
In particular, the focus will be on closely following and effectively implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; as well as inaugurating and putting into operation Software Park No. 2 to meet the space needs of businesses. Heed will be on implementing a digital transformation project to create a driving force for the city's socio-economic development in the 2026-2030 period, with a vision to 2035.

According to the report at the conference, the entire information and communications sector in 2024 earned VND 39,888 billion in revenue, up 9.07% compared to 2023. Software export turnover reached US$165 million, up 11.6%.
The digital economy contributed 20.69% to the city's GRDP, completing the target 2 years ahead of the city's resolution on digital transformation. The information technology industry continued to affirm itself as one of the city’s 5 important economic sectors. The scale of added value of the entire industry at current prices in 2024 hit VND 10,261 billion, accounting for 6.8% of the GRDP structure of the entire economy. The added value of the whole industry reached 8%.
Digital transformation and building a smart city to enhance the brand of Da Nang achieved many positive results. In particular, the city has maintained its leading position in the Viet Nam ICT Index for many years and been the only locality to lead the country in this index for 14 consecutive years.
At the same time, the city ranked first in the Digital Transformation Index rangkings for 3 consecutive years and topped all three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy and Digital Society. It was honoured with Viet Nam Digital Award 2024 for the fifth consecutive time.
In 2025, the local information and communications sector strives for a 10-11% increase in revenue, whilst software export expects for 11-12% increase in revenue.
At the conference, Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee were given to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the project of Building a Smart City in Da Nang in the 2018-2025 period, with a vision to 2030, and in contributing to the development of the local information and communications sector in 2024.
