Ready for Tet flower markets 2025

Tet flower markets will take place from January 19 - 28, 2025 (20th to 29th days of the last lunar month) at the Tien Son Sports Arena in Hai Chau District, and areas near the Administrative Centres of Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts.

Specifically, the Tet flower market in the city centre around the Tien Son Sports Arena is managed by the Da Nang Parks and Trees Company. Therefore, immediately after receiving the assignment from the municipal Department of Construction, the company established the Tet Flower Market Management Board and developed a detailed plan to ensure safety and transparency in the organisation.

Accordingly, from December 26 - 31, 2024, information about the flower market was widely posted. Between January 6 - 16, 2025, the management board issues documents and receives registration for business lots. Cooperating units have been and are installing lighting systems, and toilets.

Director of the Da Nang Parks and Trees Company cum Head of the Tet Flower Market Management Board (around the Tuyen Son Sports Arena) Nguyen Thi Quynh Diem said that 265 lots are arranged on the sidewalks around the Tien Son Sports Arena, including sidewalk of Nai Nam 2 Street (74 lots), sidewalk of Nai Nam 3 Street (81 lots), and sidewalk of Doan Khue Street (110 lots).

In case households register enough lots (265 lots), the company will end the issuance of registration documents. This year’s flower market will be organised in the form of drawing (no auction).

Each household is entitled to register from 1-5 lots, each lot has an average area of ​​about 40m2 with a fixed rental price of VND 4 million per lot. Those who register 5 lots in the lottery on January 17, 2025 at the People's Committee of Hoa Cuong Bac Ward will be given priority to choose adjacent lots, convenient for business, followed by priority for those who register 4 lots, then 3 lots.

To ensure publicity, transparency, and responsibility for revenue and expenditure in accordance with regulations, the Da Nang Parks and Trees Company has publicly announced the regulations on mass media, and kept the rental prices unchanged to facilitate households to participate in the flower market. The company has actively coordinated with functional forces to ensure convenience for households in transporting flowers.

The Tet flower market in Lien Chieu District will be held at the frontage area of ​​Nguyen Sinh Sac and Hoang Thi Loan streets, next to the Lien Chieu District Administrative Centre, from January 19 to 28, 2025.

Ms. Duong Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Economic Office of Lien Chieu District, said that the annual Tet flower market facilitates the display, introduction and promotion of flowers and ornamental plants. The event is expected to attract a large number of organisations, individuals, gardeners and shoppers. In addition, the flower market supports production facilities and flower and ornamental plant farmers in the city in general and Lien Chieu district in particular to sell their products, contributing to increasing income and stabilising the lives of flower growers.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thuc Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Vang District, the district will host the Tet Festival 2025 at the Hoa Vang District Administrative Centre from January 17 - 21, 2025 (from 18th to 22nd days of the 12th lunar month).

The festival not only has profound cultural significance but also demonstrates the efforts to preserve and promote traditional values ​​of the leaders and authorities of the district. This activity is part of the strategy to implement Resolution No. 09-NQ/HU of the district’s Party Committee, with the orientation of developing Hoa Vang into an urban area with its own identity.

In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the festival is expected to feature about 100 booths, aimed at creating a diverse and rich space to introduce agricultural products, OCOP products, and typical local craft villages.

Each booth not only displays products but also carries a story about the culture, people and creativity of Hoa Vang. After the festival ends, organisations and individuals buying and selling flowers and ornamental plants will continue to operate in this area until 8:00 pm on January 28, 2025.
