Adjustments to planning for Lang Van Tourism and Resort Urban Complex project
The People's Committee of Da Nang’s Lien Chieu District has recently issued a decision on adjusting the planning of the Lang Van Tourism and Resort Complex project.
Accordingly, after adjustment, the project scale is reduced by 555.7ha, including eliminating 63.3ha of natural forest, 6.4ha of natural sandbank, 6.6ha of land overlapping with Lien Chieu Port, 2.7ha of archaeological land and 476.7ha of sea surface.
The new planning scope is also adjusted. In particular, the northeast of the project borders the sea and mountains; the northwest borders mountains, Hai Van Pass and Hai Van South Bypass; the southwest borders National Highway 1 and the Lien Chieu Industrial Park; and the southeast borders the Lien Chieu Industrial Park.
The project has a population of around 19,000 people, of which the permanent population is nearly 18,000 people and there are approximately 1,000 visitors.
Previously, in November 2024, the Prime Minister approved the adjustment of the project's investment policy.
According to the plan, the Lang Van Tourism and Resort Complex will develop into an international standard ecological resort urban area, integrating trade - services and low-density housing systems, in harmony with the natural landscape.
The about VND 44,000 billion project is expected to be completed within 5 years. The implementation progress is divided into two phases. The first phase in 2025-2026 will focus on completing investment preparation procedures, whilst the construction work will begin in the second phase in 2027-2029. The planning adjustment helps optimise land funds, protect the natural environment and create conditions for sustainable development in the area.
