Businesses need labourers
In response to the need for additional sewing lines, right after the Tet holiday, the Whitex Viet Nam Garment Company Limited, located in the expanded Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, is looking to recruit 100 sewing workers, 20 seasonal sewing workers, 5 quality control (QC) workers and 3 warehouse workers. To attract candidates, the company has simplified the application process. Accordingly, interested applicants only need to bring their citizen identification card to the interview. Additionally, the company offers various appealing salary and bonus policies, including a sewing productivity allowance ranging from VND 40,000 to VND 65,000 per day, a diligence bonus and allowance of VND 1 million per month, a referral bonus of VND 900,000, and a quarterly bonus of VND 1.3 million per quarter.
Similarly, the Morito Da Nang Co., Ltd. located in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park is recruiting several positions with attractive salaries to ensure the smooth progress of orders. Specifically, it is recruiting 50 auxiliary workers with salaries starting from VND 7 million, along with 100 skilled sewing workers, 10 inspection workers, and 10 ironing workers with salaries from VND 8 million or more.
Meanwhile, the Kad Industrial S.A Vietnam Co., Ltd. based in the expanded Hoa Khanh Industrial Park is recruiting 200 sewing workers, 50 multi-purpose sewing workers, 100 sewing training workers and 100 general workers to do auxiliary sewing, numbering, fabric spreading, cutting, ironing, checking goods, and packing with an average income of VND 7 - VND 10 million/month.
The company representative said that to attract workers, the company offers a number of appealing policies, including diligence bonus, fuel and housing support of VND900,000/month, stage bonus of up to VND300,000/month, weekly productivity bonus of VND150,000/week, and support for raising children under 6 years old.
Deputy Director of the Da Nang Employment Service Centre Nguyen Thanh Diep said that in the second job transaction session after Tet holiday, the center received recruitment registration information from 72 units and enterprises in the city, offering nearly 4,900 vacant positions. The sectors with the highest demand for workers include garment, electronic components manufacturing, hotel restaurant services, wood production, and seafood processing. The job positions require diverse qualifications, including 268 positions for university graduates, 322 for college graduates, 510 for those with intermediate qualifications, 832 for primary positions, 1,468 for technical workers, and 1,478 for unskilled workers.

Flexible recruitment policy
According to Mr. Diep, in response to the increasing recruitment needs of units and businesses citywide, the Da Nang Employment Service Centrr continues to maintain the organisation of periodic job fairs every Friday at 3 locations. Also, the centre sends recruitment information to localities to post it on social networks for workers to update and search for suitable jobs. Since the beginning of the year, the centre has held 4 periodic job fairs, introducing jobs to 175 workers.
Recent research indicates that the labour market is experiencing a situation where demand for workers exceeds supply. Many enterprises are struggling to recruit staff, particularly unskilled and technical workers. In response to this challenge, companies are adopting flexible and innovative recruitment strategies. Apart from hiring for permanent positions, many businesses are also increasing their recruitment of seasonal and inexperienced workers.
The Pi Vina Da Nang Co., Ltd., located in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, is recruiting dozens of inexperienced assistant workers who will take impressions and cut stitches with a monthly salary of VND 7-9 million. Candidates coming to the interview only need to bring a photocopy of their citizen identification card. The company will provide support for health certificates, resumes, ID photos, and more.
Meanwhile, the Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading JSC is recruiting 500 official and seasonal workers to process shrimp for export. Not only in the city, the company has increased the recruitment of seasonal workers in Quang Nam Province including Dien Ban Town, and districts of Dai Loc, Duy Xuyen, Que Son, and Thang Binh. At the same time, it arranges shuttle buses to pick up and drop off employees during the day.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Linh, Head of the company's Administration Department, said that there are currently nearly 200 seasonal workers residing in Quang Nam Province. These workers are picked up and dropped off by the company every day. "This recruitment policy has been in place for nearly two years and has helped address the labour shortage, allowing us to meet production and business demands during peak periods," Mr. Linh said.
