The ‘locomotive’ enterprise strives for new goals

Returning to work with a relatively full workforce of about 2,000 people (over 95% of staff), the busy working atmosphere has been recorded at the Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC) to meet the first orders of the year.

Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut, the General Director of the company, informed that in 2024, the company achieved VND 4,673 billion in net revenue and VND 289 billion in pre-tax profit, respectively completing 91% of the revenue target and 101% of the profit target for the year.

Entering 2025, in order to catch up with the trend of shifting to radial tires, DRC is implementing many suitable sales strategies and solutions to stimulate domestic market demand. In addition, the new direction of PCR tyres (light truck and small car segment) is opening up great growth opportunities.

Recently, the company has invested about 100 VND billion in new equipment and converted part of the capacity of the bias tyre production line to produce PCR tyres to match the trend of radial tyres worldwide. For the export market, DRC has initially surveyed the demand for PCR tyres in some key markets such as India and Brazil which is quite positive, from which the company will plan appropriate exports. Thus, the company sets a target of 10% increase in revenue in 2025 compared to 2024, of which the export market alone will go up by 20%.

Also aiming to expand the export market, the Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Corporation has just invested in overall renovation and additional equipment for the second yarn factory - phase 1 with a maximum credit value of nearly VND79.7 billion. According to the representative of the corporation, in 2024, the unit’s revenue reached VND4,950 billion (exceeding 10% of the annual plan), profit reached VND336 billion (exceeding 53% of the annual plan), achieving a high return on capital.

In 2025, the company will continue to invest in depth in innovation of machinery and equipment technology, continue to carry out the digital transformation process to improve production efficiency. This not only improves product quality but also reduces costs, increases competitiveness, and meets strict standards from international markets, especially Europe, the United States and Japan.

Improving technology, increasing productivity

According to the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park (IP), about 300 workers (nearly 90% of the total number of workers) at Asia Architecture and Trade Company Limited returned to work on the morning of February 3. Mr. Ha Ngoc Thong, the Director of the company, informed that in 2024, the company invested more than VND30 billion to complete 2 offset printing machines and printing software.

After investing in machinery, the company’s products have better quality, meeting the increasingly high demands of the market, improving productivity and targeting high-end markets such as the United States and Europe. The company also set a target of 10% increase in revenue in 2025 compared to 2024 revenue.

Meanwhile, nearly 100% of workers at the Trung Khoa Printing Company Limited at the Da Nang IP returned to work. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thinh, the company’s Director, said, in the fourth quarter of 2024, the company participated in the ‘Smart Factory Development Consulting’ programme organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade and Samsung Group.

Participating in the programme created a real-time production and progress management environment, helping the company build a quality traceability management environment, increasing factory efficiency by eliminating on-site waste.

Thanks to these improvements, the processing efficiency in machine operation at the company increased by about 20%, contributing to improving production efficiency and competitiveness. On the Samsung Group’s smart factory scale, the company has upgraded from 1.5/5 to 3/5. In 2025, the company will continue to invest in more machinery, aiming for a 10% increase in revenue compared to 2024.

Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, said that in 2025, the city aims for an industrial production index increase of 11 - 12% compared to 2024.

To achieve this goal, the department will continue to effectively implement policies to support businesses in technological innovation, production development, and improving competitiveness to meet the requirements of the export market with increasingly strict regulations.

The department also encourages businesses to access and apply clean, environmentally friendly production technologies and advises on promoting digital transformation in the production and business activities of businesses.

At the same time, the Department will continue to implement industrial promotion projects to support businesses and rural production establishments in converting production lines and equipment to improve productivity, product quality, ensure the environment and production efficiency, support businesses in building and registering trademarks to facilitate the promotion of domestic consumption.
