The central city of Da Nang continued to secure its top position in the Digital Transformation Index (DTI) rankings in 2023, followed by Ho Chi Minh City and Thua Thien Hue.

The information was released at the meeting held on Thursday by the National Committee for Digital Transformation to review its performance and the implementation of Decision No. 06/QD-TTg (Project 06) on developing applications of population data, electronic identification and electronic authentication for national digital transformation in 2024, and deploy key directions and tasks in 2025.

In terms of component indicators, Da Nang also led digital awareness, digital institutions, digital human resources, network information security, digital government. The city ranked 2^nd in terms of digital infrastructure and digital society. In addition, Da Nang ranked 6^th in digital economy among provinces and cities nationwide.

According to the DTI 2023 report, 100% of ministries, provinces and cities increased indexes compared to 2022, reflecting relatively efforts in digital transformation by the government system at all levels.

Regarding the ranking of digital transformation at the ministry-level agencies providing public services in 2023, the Ministry of Planning and Investment topped the ranking. Regarding the ranking of digital transformation at the ministry-level agencies not providing public services in 2023, the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology continued to rank first.
