Promoting linkages for tourism development
Tourism development linkage is an effective way to exploit the tourism potential of localities. In 2025, Da Nang’s tourism industry will concentrate on maintaining and expanding the scope and content of cooperation between localities at home and abroad, and between state agencies and enterprises.

Creating opportunities to advertise destinations
In recent times, the expansion of linkages between Da Nang and localities has significantly contributed to promoting destinations as well as developing new and unique products, and diversifying existing ones.
According to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, the tourism linkage between Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam is the most effective model in the country with the message "One Journey - Three Destinations".
Up to now, there have been 20 flights to Da Nang, including 5 domestic flights and 15 regular international flights, creating favourable conditions for domestic and foreign tourists to Da Nang as well as neighbouring destinations such as Hue and Hoi An.
Mr. Le Tan Thanh Tung, Deputy General Director of Vitraco Da Nang Company, said that in 2024, the Viet Nam Railway Corporation, and the People's Committees of Hue and Da Nang, together launched a specialised train running from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa with the name “Central Heritage Connection” or the two localities putting into operation the Hai Van Gate relic, creating a turning point in the connection, and indirectly bringing more tourists to Da Nang.
During his interview with Da Nang Newspaper reporter in late 2024, Mr. Tran Quang Khang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau Province, acknowledged that his locality has great potential for tourism development, but there are still few products and little information on the Viet Nam tourism map. Therefore, Lai Chau has chosen Da Nang - a central city of Central Viet Nam to promote tourism investment every year.
Lai Chau Province expects that the differences in climate conditions, natural landscapes, especially the unique cultural traditions of ethnic groups, will bring tourists unique tourism products. Lai Chau Province also wants to connect travel businesses and service providers, build tours, and exchange sources of visitors between the two localities as soon as possible.

Expanding linkages
For domestic linkages and cooperation, the city's tourism industry will focus on linking the Central Key Economic Zone (Binh Dinh - Quang Ngai - Quang Nam - Da Nang - Hue) with Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi. Specifically, heed will be on organising famtrips and presstrips from Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi to Central Viet Nam, as well as coordinating the implementation of programmes to attract high-end MICE (tourism combined with exhibitions and conferences) tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi.
Efforts will be made to coordinate tourism promotion, build a common tourism guide for 7 localities, and promote information on events and tourism stimulus programmes on the websites of the localities.
Meanwhile, localities of Quang Nam, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Binh will together develop tourism stimulus packages, organise tourism stimulus programs, coordinate with tourism associations to conduct surveys to build linkage products, deploy preferential product packages for golfers and MICE tourists, and implement minutes of agreements on tourism development cooperation between the 5 localities with Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Central Highlands provinces and the Mekong Delta provinces.
In addition, Da Nang will pay attention to expanding and strengthening cooperation with other localities such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Son La, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and Can Tho; sharing experiences in state management in tourism activities; supporting the implementation of field surveys between localities; organising professional training courses on vocational skills for businesses; and promoting tourism on local media channels.
Moreover, the local tourism industry will promote international tourism cooperation and linkages through tourism associations in key markets to exchange information and exploit customer markets.
In addition, priority will be given to advertising tourism and unique tourist destinations of Da Nang at international tourism fairs and seminars; receiving international famtrips and presstrips to survey tourism and connect tourism products; and cooperating with international airlines to promote and communicate plans to open new international routes to the city.
“From 2025 onwards, the cooperation work for tourism development will focus on maintaining and expanding the scope and content of cooperation, and fostering cooperation between localities, between state agencies and enterprises, airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, and Malaysia Airlines to enhance destination promotion, market and flight promotion, and customer source exchange” Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism.
The city’s tourism association and its member associations, along with the local tourism development promotion fund, will promote their role in connecting members, spreading information and organising a number of specialised tourism events, and providing advice on digital transformation of tourism activities, added Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An.
