Right after the end of the Tet 2025 holiday break in a warm atmosphere, the Party Committee, the municipal administration immediately started a series of tasks from the beginning of the year.

Right from the first days of the year, the city leaders simultaneously inspected and urged the progress of key and dynamic projects and works in the city.

Along with that, relevant agencies quickly promoted the emulation movement in production, implemented many key projects, striving to achieve the growth target in 2025 of over 10% and budget revenue up by over 15%.

The highlight is that right from the beginning of the lunar new year 2025, the city organised auctions of many land lots at prime locations in districts to exploit resources for the city’s socio-economic development.

In the western part of the city, at the foot of the majestic Hai Van Pass, a “large construction site” is taking shape in a bustling atmosphere, opening up with many highlights that will attract tens of thousands of workers, engineers, and workers from home and abroad to work at the soon-to-be-built Da Nang free trade zone, Lang Van international resort and Lien Chieu Port…

Meanwhile, after its inauguration and put into use, the Da Nang Software Park No. 2 with an area of 92,000m2 has attracted many companies in the fields of semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovative startups.

The city will continue to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

With a proactive spirit, the city actively implements with higher goals than the resolution and has 19 targets outside the resolution that are suitable for the city’s reality on the basis of existing infrastructure, mechanisms and policies, especially building an innovative startup ecosystem to exploit and maximize resources for the world’s leading field today.

Another equally important area is that the city is actively mobilizing social resources to constantly innovate and improve the quality of tourism products and services, which have created the brand of an attractive, friendly and impressive tourist city in the eyes of domestic and foreign tourists over the years such as the Asia Park Complex, the Da Nang International Fireworks Complex, the River of Light project, or the Phan Dang Luu Avenue...

What is very special about Da Nang in the first days of the lunar new year that has received a lot of public attention is the visit and work of the national government delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the evening of February 9. The meeting between the Prime Minister and the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Party Committee lasted until 11:00 pm.

Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Head of the city’s Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Van Quang, who presented the action programme of the Da Nang Party Committee and government as well as the difficulties and obstacles that need to be resolved to promote the implementation of programmes and projects, striving to achieve double-digit growth in 2025.

Among them, a number of large projects and tasks that need to be resolved include the area of 181ha, 29ha in the Thuan Phuoc sea encroachment area according to Conclusion No. 77-KL/TW dated May 2, 2024 of the Politburo on the project ‘Plan to remove difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations, and judgments in a number of provinces and cities’ as well as the direction of the Prime Minister; the construction of a regional financial centre in Da Nang; or the implementation of Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organisation of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang and having sufficient capacity and practical conditions to build the Lien Chieu Port into an international, modern transit port, a green port as concluded by the Prime Minister in Notice No. 417/TB-VPCP dated September 13, 2024.

The encouraging signal is that in the coming time (in the first and second quarters of 2025), there will be large projects started with a total investment of more than VND150,000 billion.

The Head of Vietnamese Government was impressed by Da Nang's continued innovation, streamlining the organization of the political system, operating effectively and efficiently in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (12th tenure), completed in February 2025, so that from March 1, 2025, the new apparatus will be put into operation, corresponding to the central apparatus, as well as implementing a series of key and key projects and the double-digit growth scenario of Da Nang in 2025.

At the same time, he said that the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee have agreed on handling many contents; requesting Da Nang to continue to urgently review the backlog projects according to Conclusion 77-KL/TW of the Politburo and the telegrams and instructions of the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister strongly supported the policy of building and adding a number of outstanding policies to attract investors to the free trade zone, developing an regional financial center in Da Nang in the spirit of not being perfectionist, not being hasty, proposing policies suitable to the specific circumstances of Viet Nam to promote the very favorable conditions of Da Nang.

It can be said that taking advantage of time right from the first days of the lunar new year of 2025 to quickly create breakthroughs with specific programmes and action plans to create a synchronous strength to promote production - business activities to continuously develop, build synchronous infrastructure, and continue to improve the urban area to a new level of civilization and modernity are strong and decisive steps of the Da Nang Party Committee and government.

That has promptly met the legitimate aspirations of the people as well as the inevitable trend of the times, at the same time contributing effectively with the whole country to enter a new era called the 'Era of Nation's Rise'.
