Implementing the direction of the Da Nang leaders on the implementation of construction works and projects to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), towards welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Transport and Agricultural Works in Da Nang is focusing on working with construction units and contractors to speed up the construction of the Quang Da Bridge and its approach roads. The closure segment process will be completed before March 8, ensuring that the bridge will be open to traffic on March 29.

Director of the Da Nang Traffic and Agricultural Construction Project Management Board, the project investor, Nguyen Minh Huy said that the whole project has completed about 65% of the contract value, of which the construction of the bridge alone has been completed 75%.

The approach roads, drainage and irrigation systems on the approach roads have been completed about 35% of the workload.

As recorded, taking advantage of the good weather, the construction unit mobilised dozens of machines and construction vehicles to work simultaneously on many items, with the goal of achieving the highest progress.

The Quang Da Bridge project and its approach roads have a total investment of more than VND274 billion.

The new bridge and its approach roads have a total length of 1,408km, including a distance of over 1,1km running through Da Nang. The new bridge will start at the intersection of National Highway 14B which runs through Phu Son Nam Village, Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang and it will end in Dien Tien Commune, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province.

In particular, the Quang Da Bridge has a length of 205m, a width of 22m, including 4 lanes and the 2m - wide median strip. One road leading to the bridge in Da Nang has a road surface width of 34m, including 4 lanes and a 9m - wide median strip whilst the other belonging to Quang Nam tertiary is about 100m long a 27m wide, including 4 lanes.

On December 10, 2024, the Da Nang Party Committee Office issued Notice No. 707-TB/TU notifying the direction of the municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang (after inspecting the actual construction of the project), in which it requested to focus on mobilizing human and material resources, taking advantage of favourable weather to speed up the construction progress of the remaining items according to the set schedule, ensuring the bridge and its approach streets will be open to traffic on March 29, 2025 to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang and welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.
