From January 25 to 31, 2025 (26^th day of the 12^th lunar month to 3^rd day of Tet), Da Nang received more than 456,000 visitors, up 13.5% compared to the same period last year.

Agencies, localities, and units citywide implemented many activities to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025, with a focus on taking care of social policy families, poor households, families in difficult circumstances, social subjects, ethnic minorities, households affected by project clearance, and workers in industrial parks, with the goal of ensuring that every household and every person can enjoy Tet and welcome spring.

The city presented Tet gifts to people with meritorious services and their relatives, social policy beneficiaries, organisations and individuals with a total budget of VND 126.14 billion, of which VND 7.4 billion came from the central budget, VND 108.48 billion from the city budget and VND 10.25 billion from the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.

The city's leaders paid pre-Tet visits and sent Tet wishes to businesses, localities, units, individuals, and families with meritorious services, as well as met with artists, intellectuals, religious figures and units and forces serving Tet. They also visited agencies and units on duty and working on Lunar New Year's Eve and serving Tet.

Functional units arranged forces and means to guarantee good service for people's needs; prevent power outages, water shortages, and interruptions in communication; and ensure environmental sanitation and urban beauty to welcome Tet.

The city strengthened price stabilization, as well as took solutions to ensure supply and demand of goods, combat smuggling, counterfeit goods, and trade fraud before, during, and after Tet.

The Fatherland Front and socio-political organisations of the city concentrated on doing a good job of mobilising union members, association members, and people to celebrate Tet in a joyful and healthy spirit.

During the period, a wide range of attractive activities and events were held across the city to serve people and tourists.

The total number of visitors to Da Nang during Tet holiday in 2025 is estimated to be more than 456,000, an increase of 13.5% compared to the Lunar New Year 2024, of which international visitors are estimated to reach more than 221,000, up 25%, and domestic visitors are estimated to stand at more than 235,000. The city’s total tourism revenue generated an estimate of VND 1,780 billion, a rise of 12.6%. The hotel room occupancy rate in the city during that period was about 50%, of which that at 4-5 star hotels and equivalent groups reached 60-65% (an increase of nearly 10% compared to the Lunar New Year of 2024).

Ensuring security and safety for visitors and environmental sanitation in the city continued to be seriously implemented.

Preparations and organisation of the Lunar New Year activities in the city were carried out carefully, safely and economically.

Officials, party members and people of the city welcomed the Lunar New Year in a joyful, exciting and healthy atmosphere. The quantity of goods was abundant. The material and spiritual life of the people and social policy families were taken care of.

Activities, events and festivals were well organised, meeting the needs of people and tourists.

The political security situation and social order and safety in the city were maintained.
