The forum saw the attendance of Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh, along with more than 150 delegates who are senior leaders of banks, investment funds, logistics and tourism service providers, seaports, and industrial parks.
The intention of the event was to introduce the potential and investment opportunities in key, dynamic projects in Da Nang, including the International Financial Centre, Free Trade Zone and Lien Chieu Seaport. In addition, through the forum, the city wanted to receive comments and recommendations from investors and businesses to effectively and successfully implement the abovementioned projects in the coming time.
In his remarks at the forum, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang informed Da Nang’s great advantages such as strategic geographical location, modern urban infrastructure, and high-quality young human resources. Additionally, the central coastal city is the most livable city in Viet Nam, and one of the leading tourist destinations in Southeast Asia.
Da Nang targeted to become a green, smart city, and a hub for science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the country and the Asian region by 2030, with a vision to 2045, he noted.
Mr. Quang affirmed that such new development models as the International Financial Centre, Free Trade Zone and Lien Chieu Port were the city’s driving forces, thereby creating new development space to turn the city into a major centre of international trade, services and technology. This will contribute to fostering the socio-economic development of the Central Highlands and the whole country, and becoming an important link connecting the East-West Economic Corridor, the Asia-Pacific region and the world.
