The Da Nang Market Management and Development Company under the municipal[al Department of Industry and Trade organised the programme ‘Con Market alongside the city’, to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang; to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the reconstruction of Con Market (1985-2025).

The Con Market, located in Hai Chau District, Da Nang was established in the 1940s, on a high mound in the heart of the city. In 1958, the market was officially rebuilt on the basis of the previous temporary facility. In 1985, it was reconstructed. According to the city's development speed through each period, the market has developed closely with the city's cultural identity.

The market has always been a bustling and crowded place for business and trade, providing a rich and diverse source of goods, food and foodstuffs for consumers. The market’s authority has also adjusted its planning and arrangement, rearranged some business areas, and added a variety of products to suit the new development trend of society. In the coming time, the market will maintain its traditional market brand and develop in a modern and civilised direction, becoming a favourite venue for local residents and tourists to experience - shop - travel.
