Renovated landscape of riverside sidewalk along Thang Long Street put into use
The Da Nang Management Board of Construction and Investment Projects for Agriculture and Rural Development Works held a ceremony in the city on Monday to hand over the project to renovate the landscape of the riverside sidewalk along Thang Long Street from the Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District.
The project aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025).

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, construction units and design consultants, and the active coordination of the local government during the project implementation.
She added that, after renovation, the sidewalk of Thang Long Street will become a safe, clean and beautiful public space, encouraging people to walk, exercise and enjoy the green urban space. She also highlighted the significance of the project in contributing to improving the quality of life but also creating a modern and civilized appearance for the city.

She pledged that the municipal government will continue to invest and upgrade infrastructure to better meet the needs of the people and promote the sustainable development of Da Nang in the coming time.
Started in May 2024, the project has a level IV technical infrastructure scale, and belongs to group C with the goal of improving the quality of public space and riverside landscape, and creating urban highlights.
The highlight of the project is the planting of a series of wind chimes, and other types of trees such as purple flower carpet, cow's hoof, purple muong, king areca, white sea chamomile, royal marigold and ginger grass carpet along the sidewalk of Thang Long Street in a bid to create a cool green space in harmony with the riverside landscape.

In addition, the project features smart public toilets with APTS-standard stainless steel materials, automatic sensor doors, and antibacterial and environmentally friendly interiors. Bike and walking paths have 15-21.6m wide sidewalks. There are stone benches, and outdoor fitness equipment.
Modern lighting system with smart LED lights connected via 4G communication technology, featuring blue, orange and white decorative lights, creates highlights for the space at night.
Many parking bays are built along the route combined with a traffic organization system according to national standards, ensuring safety and convenience for people.
Invested by the Da Nang Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works, the VND 44.2 billion project is implemented from May 2024 to May 2025.
The completion of this project not only contributes to urban beautification but also creates a modern, green public living space to satisfy the entertainment and health training needs of people, while contributing to building Da Nang into a livable, civilised and modern city.
