In the first quarter of 2025, the Da Nang International Airport continuously welcomed international delegations to learn about the investment environment and cooperate in exploiting the logistics market and air transport services. Specifically, the Da Nang International Airport recently welcomed a delegation from the Dubai National Air Travel Agency (DNATA), headquartered in Dubai (The United Arab Emirates - UAE). This economic group is considered a "giant" in the global aviation services industry.
DNATA delegation’s trip to the Da Nang International Airport not only focused on discussions about promoting trade but also about the development of a free trade zone in Da Nang. DNATA leaders shared that with many years of experience and great influence in the industry, DNATA would bring great opportunities to Da Nang in developing international freight services, while improving the service quality of the Da Nang International Airport.
DNATA is realising that opening a free trade zone will not only help Da Nang become an important logistics hub but also create favourable conditions for businesses to participate in the global supply chain, including DNATA. Therefore, DNATA hopes that in the near future, the group and Da Nang, specifically the Da Nang International Airport, will proactively sign a cooperation agreement in many areas of logistics and cargo services, first based in Da Nang, then develop to neighbouring areas of Southeast Asia, and Asia in general.
Through this cooperation, the Da Nang International Airport can maximize its advantages in terms of geographical location and infrastructure to promote import and export activities, especially in the context of a strong global economy and increasing demand for logistics services and international goods.
During their working trip to the Da Nang International Airport, DNATA also directly surveyed the infrastructure and location of functional areas in the free trade zone in the Da Nang airport area, and at the same time assessed the potential for development cooperation between the two sides.
