The Asian Golf Tourism Convention - AGTC 2025 is taking place from March 30 to April 5 in Da Nang. The city hopes to continue to affirm itself as an attractive destination for MICE tourism and attract high-end travellers.

AGTC takes place at the 5-star Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center, with the meetings taking place on-site. The AGTC Golf Tournament takes place at two of the new courses:  the Legend Danang Golf Resort’s Nicklaus Course and Hoiana Shores Golf Club.

On March 31, the Da Nang Department of Tourism and the World Golf Tourism Association coordinated with relevant units to hold a press conference to open AGTC 2025. This is the second time Da Nang has been chosen to host this event. Speaking at the event, Mr. Tan Van Vuong, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said the orientation of developing high-quality tourism, including golf tourism, is through continuously hosting large-scale events.

Organised by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), this convention rotates among major cities across Asia.

With a system of 8 international standard golf courses designed by golf legends, the central region of Viet Nam, especially Da Nang, has oriented to develop golf tourism as a strategic segment to attract high-end customers with high spending ability.

In recent years, Da Nang has promoted its golf destination in many international markets, contributing to increasing the number of tourists coming to the city.

It is known that the convention welcomes approximately 450 delegates, 350 of whom are international representatives from over 35 countries and territories, all of whom are official IAGTO members, and 100 domestic delegates from Viet Nam’s tourism and golf industries.

The primary goal of AGTC 2025 is to highlight Da Nang’s exceptional golf tourism infrastructure and its potential to attract international interest. This initiative aligns with Da Nang’s objective to establish itself as ‘Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination’.

AGTC 2025, with an international scale of the golf tourism industry, comprises several key components, including Asia Golf Tourism Conference, AGTC 2025 Golf Championship, Golf Course Famtrips for Golf Tour Operators, Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner, Opening Press Conference, Delegate Welcome Programme, Da Nang Tourism Showcase & Media Engagement and Gathering of Global Golf Tourism Leaders.

Within the framework of AGTC 2025, the World Golf Tourism Association will announce the World Golf Tourism Awards, honoring excellent golf courses and destinations voted by international golf tour operators.

In particular, Da Nang will be awarded the title ‘Da Nang - Outstanding Contribution to Golf Tourism’ in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the development of golf tourism.

Since AGTC last took place in Da Nang, three fantastic new golf courses have opened, and this beach-front resort city is an incredibly popular AGTC venue-choice among IAGTO golf tour operators. Da Nang is easily accessible to golf tourism industry suppliers from across the Asia Pacific region, and provides great opportunities for additional networking in the evenings.
