Crowds flock to Da Nang tourist attractions on Hung Kings' Commemoration Day
Many tourist attractions, and cultural and entertainment sites, across Da Nang attracted a large number of visitors during Hung Kings' Commemoration Day.

Specifically, Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area experienced a remarkable surge in visitor arrivals. On April 6, the tourist spot welcomed 31,900 guests, setting a record since its opening 16 years ago. This figure was three times higher than the same period in 2024. Over the two-day Hung Kings' death anniversary holiday, Sun World Ba Na Hills welcomed nearly 54,000 visitors.
A representative of Sun World Ba Na Hills said that most of the visitors came from the Central Highlands region, as the tourist area is currently offering a special discount on 2-way cable car tickets to residents of 19 provinces in the Central and Central Highlands regions. Accordingly, from now until April 15, the entrance tickets are priced at VND350,000 per adult and VND250,000 per child of between 1m and 1m4 tall. Children under 1m tall are allowed on free.
Aside from its attractive pricing policies, the tourist area draws visitors with the vibrant atmosphere and stunning landscape filled with hundreds of thousands of sunflowers within the framework of the first-ever Sun Flower Festival. Impressive miniature landscapes created from sunflowers, along with a variety of captivating mini shows taking place at different times and locations within the area, make visitors excited and enthusiastic.
Meanwhile, at the Da Nang Downtown, the number of visitors nearly doubled compared to the same holiday period last year. Visitors to the tourist attraction on April 6 had the opportunity to enjoy lion and dragon dance performances, as well as experience the Vui Phet night market, and a variety of exciting games.
The Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park tourist area welcomed around 8,000 visitors over the two-day holiday. The attraction of this tourist area is set to increase, especially with the introduction of new items planned for 2025. These include a picnic area with over 50 charming tents, a Bird Garden for exploring the kingdom of birds, participation in the unique Than Tai parade, and a series of entertaining circus shows.
On the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary, the city offered free admission to the Marble Mountains, the Fine Arts Museum, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, and the Da Nang Museum, aimed at facilitating the public to access local culture and history.
Notably, the Da Nang Museum welcomed 18,849 visitors, including 657 foreigners, from April 1 - 6. On the weekends alone, the number of visitors to the museum reached 5,766 on April 5 and 6,317 on April 6.
Previously, statistics on online travel platforms showed that Da Nang topped the list of the 10 destinations that Vietnamese tourists were most interested in during the Hung Kings' death anniversary holiday. The central coastal city also led the list of top 10 most searched destinations for flights from April 4 - 7, 2025
