Da Nang, South Korea's Pyeongtaek sign cooperation agreement
The central city of Da Nang and Pyeongtaek city of South Korea signed an agreement on Wednesday to promote and enhance diverse exchange and cooperation activities in the spheres of economics, education, culture, sports, and labour.

The agreement was signed during the meeting between Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh and visiting Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jang Seon in the city.
During his reception for the South Korean guest, Chairman Chinh informed about the city's socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2025. In particular, the city’s tourism sector has recorded impressive growth, in which Korean tourists are always among the top international visitor sources to Da Nang.
According to the city leader, Da Nang and Pyeongtaek shared similarities in development orientation for the fields of semiconductors, high-tech industry, seaports, etc. Pyeongtaek is known as the capital of semiconductor industry in South Korea.
Chairman Chinh asked for a helping hand from Mayor Jung Jang Seon to promote cooperation and investment opportunities in Da Nang’s semiconductors sector to businesses and partners in Pyeongtaek.

In reply, Mayor Jung Jang Seon introduced the potential of Pyeongtaek, mainly developing the semiconductor and automobile industries. Pyeongtaek is home to many industrial parks in South Korea.
He also praised Da Nang’s favourable investment environment, its preferential mechanisms and policies to attract international investment, and its great potential and development space. He hoped that, with similarities in development orientation, the two localities will foster the bilateral cooperation in the semiconductors and other aspects in which both sides have strengths and potential.
