Since the beginning of 2025, the People's Committee of Son Tra District has issued 24 decisions to hand over residential land plots to individuals who won land auctions at the end of 2024 organized by the city’s Land Fund Development Centre. At the same time, the district has issued many decisions to change land use purposes, assigning small and narrow plots of land (remote land) to individuals and households.
These cases have paid land use fees to the state budget, contributing to raising the total land use fee revenue in the district from the beginning of the year to VND 234.87 billion, 6 times higher than the same period in 2024 (VND 38.54 billion).
Along with that, the "warming" real estate market also contributed to increasing revenue for the budget.
According to the People's Committee of Son Tra District, from early 2025 to April 8, the total amount of personal income tax collected from real estate transfer activities was VND 73.192 billion, up over 81% over the same period in 2024. Total registration fees for houses and land reached VND 22.68 billion, a rise of more than 95%.
Head of the Office of Natural Resources and Environment of Son Tra District Dang Dinh Huong informed that the district has implemented many solutions to promote socio-economic growth in general and focused on collecting state budget in particular. In particular, the district has promoted activities to exploit revenue from land, especially urging individuals who won the auction for the right to use resettlement land lots to pay land use fees and land taxes.
Son Tra District is actively implementing the policy of the central and municipal governments on removing difficulties and obstacles for projects and land in the conclusions of inspections, examinations and judgments, and promoting the collection of state budget from land exploitation, use and related taxes and fees.
To continue to promote positive growth in land use revenue, from April 16 - May 2025, the Da Nang Land Fund Development Centre is organising the auction of 33 residential land lots in Hoa Xuan Ward (Cam Le District), and Hoa Quy Ward (Ngu Hanh Son District).

Auctions of land use rights for 2 land lots serving the organisation of Son Tra Night Market; and for 30 land lots for building parking lots or for commercial and service purposes within 36 months in Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son and Hoa Vang districts will be held.
In particular, an auction of an over 12.89 ha land lot will be organised with a starting price of VND 1,194 billion to call for investment in public areas and urban services at the Hoa Xuan Sports, Entertainment and Commercial Complex project in Cam Le District.
According to Director of the Da Nang Land Fund Development Centre Huynh Tan Quang, to collect over VND 4,500 billion in land use fees in 2025, the municipal Department of Agriculture and Environment has directed the implementation of procedures and organised the expected auction of 12 large land plots and 269 subdivided residential land lots. Moreover, 8 commercial land plots for tourism and office business activities will be auctioned.
"These land plots are expected to have a relatively large total amount of money collected from the auction of land use rights and will ensure the city's target of land revenue in 2025" said Mr. Huynh Tan Quang.
To ensure the target of achieving land revenue in 2025, the municipal Department of Agriculture and Environment is actively implementing plans for land use rights auctions, speeding up land allocation, and granting certificates of land use rights and assets attached to land.
Heed is on accelerating the completion of plans to collect financial obligations for projects and land in inspection, examination and judgment conclusions.
