Matches in the 12th round of Viet Nam’s top-tier V-League 2013 took place at stadiums across the country on 15 and 16 June.

SHB Da Nang missed a golden opportunity to climb into the top 3 after managing only a 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the-table Binh Duong at the Chi Lan Stadium last Saturday.  Striker Tang Tuan opened the scoring for the visitors after 16 minutes.  Then,  SHB DN drew level thanks to their striker Ha Minh Tuan who scored in the 38th minute.

In other matches, league-leaders Song Lam Nghe An also only managed a draw at home, 2-2 against Kien Giang.  They now drop into 2nd place.  Ninh Binh suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ha Noi T&T at the Hang Day Stadium, and Ha Noi now lead the table.

Dong Nai defeated Thanh Hoa 2-1 at home in yesterday’s match, whilst Dong Tam Long An beat Hoang Anh Gia Lai 1-0 at the Long An Stadium.  Xuan Thanh Sai Gon Cement clinched a 4-1 win over Vicem Hai Phong in a dramatic match at Ho Chi Minh City’s Thong Nhat Stadium.

After the first 12 rounds, Ha Noi T&T top the league with 22 points, followed by Song Lam Nghe An on 21, Hoang Anh Gia Lai on 19, and SHB Da Nang on 18, but they still have 2 games in hand.  Dong Tam Long An and Becamex Binh Duong are the bottom 2, with 11 and 8 points respectively.
