Some Vietnamese referees and assistants fail physical strength test
As many as 66 domestic football referees and assistants took part in a physical strength test at Da Nang’s Chi Lang Stadium on Tuesday.
Under the strict rules of the test, the examinees were required to run a 40m distance 6 times in the speed running section. They then alternately ran 150m and walked 50m for a total distance of 4,000m.
The physical strength of the FIFA-accredited participants was assessed against the FIFA standards, whilst the performance of the national ones were evaluated against the national standards.

The 2012 Golden Whistle Award-winning referee Vo Quang Vinh did not take the test due to an Achilles heel injury.
FIFA-accredited referee Nguyen Duc Vu from Binh Thuan Province, and FIFA-accredited assistant Nguyen Truong Xuan from Hai Phong, along with national first-grade assistants Duong Ngoc Tan from Yen Bai Province and Nguyen Thanh Phuong from Dong Nai Province, all failed the test. As a result, they will not be allowed to referee their remaining matches in the V-League 2013 tournament.
