Viet Nam U23s beat Myanmar
Viet Nam’s national U23 team had a convincing 2-0 win over Myanmar U23s, the hosts of the upcoming 2013 SEA Games, in a friendly match at Ho Chi Minh City’s Thong Nhat Stadium yesterday evening.
The Vietnamese team had to introduce substitutes Nguyen Manh, Dinh Hoang, Danh Ngoc and Minh Tuan during the match as injuries were suffered to key players Buu Ngoc, Van Thang, Van Quyet and Hong Quan. This gave the opportunity for the substitutes to show their strengths, as well as for Viet Nam’s coach Hoang Van Phuc to accurately assess the abilities of his squad.

Coach Phuc was very pleased with his decisions as 2 of the 4 substitutes made significant contributions to help Viet Nam win the game.
In the 33rd minute, after receiving Vu Minh Tuan's accurate pass, Danh Ngoc opened the scoring for the hosts. Twenty minutes later, Quang Hung provided a perfect pass to Ha Minh Tuan who beat Myanmar’s goalkeeper Phyo Aung and gave his team the well-deserved win.
Winning this match is extra motivation for the Vietnamese U23s as they prepare for the SEA Games later this year.
