Two fascinating events will be held in Da Nang to welcome in the Tet Festival.

The 2014 Spring Flower Festival will take place at the 29 March Park from 29 January to 6 February (29^th day of the 12^th lunar month to the 7^th day of the 1^st lunar month).  Organised by the city's Green Trees-Park Company, the event will re-create some of the images of the Tet Festival in the past, including a Vietnamese village , as well as how to make “banh chung” (square glutinous rice cakes) and “banh tet” (cylindrical glutinous rice cakes).   

In addition, the 9-day event will feature a spring drawing contest, a bonsai competition, a calligraphic painting exhibition, mock-ups of the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, human chess, a “Picking buds in early spring” programme, and other entertainments.

A Tet flower market will be organised at the 29 March Square on 2 September Street from the 22^th to 30^th days of the 12^th lunar month, which will fall between 22 and 30 January.
