According to the organising board of the 2014 Miss Viet Nam pageant, the final round of the contest, which had been planned to take place in Da Nang between 14 and 24 August, will now instead be held on Phu Quoc Island later this year.

In addition, the Da Nang authorities have decided to cancel the 2^nd Miss Da Nang contest which was scheduled to be held in the city tonight to select the best candidates to participate in the 2014 Miss Viet Nam pageant.
