On June 9, in Ha Noi, the Ministry of Information and Communications presented copies of a photobook about General Vo Nguyen Giap to his family and to representatives of various groups.

The Viet Nam-English photobook, first published in 2011 to mark the 100^th anniversary of the General’s birth, has 230 pages containing 350 photos about the General’s life and career.

In May 2014, the book was reprinted.  In this reprint, the Authority of Foreign Information Service under the Ministry of Information and Communications added 40 rare photos, including a photo of the General meeting with Mother Suot at a congress in 1966, photos of the General beside patients’ beds, and touching photos showing the love and admiration of people during the General’s funeral.

The book was presented to the Office of General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s family, Quang Binh Province People’s Committee, Le Thuy District People’s Committee, the Viet Nam Military History Museum, the Border Guard Museum, the Navy Museum, the National Library of Viet Nam, Ha Noi Library, the Vietnamese War Veterans’ Association, the Ha Noi City War Veterans’ Association, the Authority of Politics under the Naval High Commands, and the Authority of Politics under the High Command of the Border Guard.
