Following recent approval by the Da Nang authorities, the upgrading of the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre will begin in 2015.  The cost, of over 4.3 billion VND, will come from the city’s budget.

The focus will be on expanding the theatre’s auditorium, refurbishing the control booths, re-erecting partitions, and laying carpets in front of the stage and in the aisles.  In addition, lighting and air-conditioning systems will be repaired, and the existing chairs in the auditorium will be replaced by 331 new seats.

The city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the upgrade.
