The National Cup for Dancesport Clubs officially opened at Da Nang's Tien Son Sports Arena this afternoon (22 August).

Participants have been divided into 10 different age groups, and they are allowed to compete in a maximum of 4 specific dance styles.  Under the rules, they must compete in Latin and standard dances with the background music provided by the contest’s organising board.

Dancers who are under the age of 11 are required to wear dance costumes in accordance with the World Dancesport Federation rules, and their performances will be based on a syllabus structure.
