SHB Da Nang’s dramatic 2-1 home win over highfliers Ha Noi T&T last Sunday left a deep impression on their home fans, and on domestic football experts too.

Boasting fair play, a good team spirit and no scandals, SHB DN have been role models for Vietnamese football and great ambassadors for the city.

Although they may not reach their target of finishing in the top 3 of the V-League 2014, they have produced many breathtaking performances which have delighted their fans.

SHB DN’s victories both home and away can be mainly attributed to the great efforts of their coach Le Huynh Duc.  Over this season, he has tried his utmost to train his players and adjust their defensive and counter-attack tactics effectively.  This has helped to make SHB DN become one of the strongest football teams in the country.

Ha Noi T&T’s coach Phan Thanh Hung, who was born in Da Nang, could not hide his disappointment at Sunday’s loss to SHB DN.  He said that his players had been strongly determined to beat SHB DN in order to have more of a chance of becoming the 2014 V-League champions.  However, SHB DN’s flexible and effective attacking style prevented HN T&T’s dream from coming true, and they have to be content now with second place, irrespective of the results in next weekend’s final matches.
