The 18^th Da Nang Newspaper Cross-Country Running Competition will be held on Sunday morning, 21 December, and the race route will be on Pham Van Dong Street.  The event is being co-organised by the newspaper, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Education and Training, the city’s Military Command, and the Police Department.

About 790 runners are expected to participate in this year’s event.  They are professional runners, employees from local agencies and companies, students from local junior and senior high schools, vocational schools, colleges and universities, along with officers and men from the city-based armed forces.

A press conference on Thursday afternoon to announce the 18th Da Nang Newspaper Cross-Country Running Competition

Winners in team, men’s team and women’s team categories will be awarded souvenir flags and prizes, whilst top 3 professional and amateur finishers in the men and women’s categories will receive medals and awards.  In addition, prizes will go to amateur runners ranking from 4^th to 6^th places, along with professional runners ranking from 4^th to 10^th places.
