An exhibition entitled “Traffic Signs” is now open at Da Nang’s Fine Arts Museum, 78 Le Duan Street until December 31.

The exhibition, the first of its kind to be held in the city, aims to promote awareness of traffic safety and order amongst the general public.

On display are 16 exhibits by local photographer My Dung.  The works are created from colour photos and items used in residents’ daily lives such as motorcycle helmets, vehicle horns, nylon bags, empty beer cans and advertising boards, along with parts of motorcycles seriously damaged in traffic accidents.

The exhibition provides the opportunity for visitors to learn more about traffic fatalities caused by wearing poor-quality motorcycle helmets, careless driving, riders and drivers with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the permitted levels, or those who exceed the speed limit.  Visitors can also understand more about the mental agony of the relatives of road traffic victims.
