Computerised Fireworks Displays Competition winners receive their prizes

An awards ceremony for the Da Nang Computerised Fireworks Displays Competition 2014 took place in the city’s Software Park on Quang Trung Street on Thursday afternoon.

The contest, which was officially launched on 23 July, aimed to introduce some good ideas for the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015, which will take place on 28 and 29 April.  The organisers received a total of 30 entries from contestants nationwide, including 22 from Da Nang itself.

Student Tran Anh Tuan from Da Nang’s Duy Tan University (DTU) won the first prize of 15 million VND for his work “Phu Dong Thien Vuong” (Celestial Prince of Phu Dong).

The second prize of 10 million VND was given to the “Tuoi Tre Cung Nam Thang” (Youth and the Passage of Time).  The work was developed by Nguyen Thanh Lam, Nguyen Van Trong, Doan Cong Truc and Phan Xuan Dat, all of whom are DTU students.

Third prize of 5 million VND went to the “Da Nang, Soi Dong Mot Dong Song” (A Vibrant River in Da Nang) developed by a group of employees from the city’s Loc Xoay Company.  They were Le Tran Quoc An, Hoang Cong Loc, Dinh Quang Huy, Nguyen Thanh Vu and Tran Viet Tuan.

In addition, the organisers presented 5 sub-prizes and 1 consolation prize to other outstanding entrants.
