After losing their first 3 matches, SHB Da Nang will play at home today (21 January) against fifth-placed Ha Noi T&T at 4.30pm and they will be hoping for a win.

However, SHB DN’s coach Le Huynh Duc and his squad must be cautious of the power of their opponents as Ha Noi T&T are expected to field their key stars. 

These include naturalised striker Hoang Vu Samson, foreign strikers Gonzalo and Hector, midfielders Thanh Luong, Van Quyet and Hong Tien, and goalkeeper Duong Hong Son.  Apart from a strong squad, Ha Noi T&T are well-known for their effective combination of players, and their skilled and experienced style of play.

SHB DN’s new strikers Melquiades Gomez and Anto Pejic have yet to fully fill the gaps left by former strikers Merlo and Bernardo, and some of the team’s senior players, such as Minh Phuong, Phuoc Vinh, Vu Phong and Quoc Anh, are showing their age.  In addition, the youngsters have yet to meet the requirements of their coach.  These seem to be the main reasons for SHB DN’s loss of flexible and varied attacking styles.

The home fans, of course, hope that SHB DN will finally win a game and perhaps replicate the determination of Quang Nam who last Saturday played at Ha Noi T&T and fought back from 4-1 down to draw 4-4.
