Matches in the 3rd round of Viet Nam’s top-tier V-League 2015 took place at stadiums across the country on Saturday 17 January.

SHB Da Nang continued to disappoint their fans with a 3-2 away loss to current V-League leaders Binh Duong.  SHB DN now languish next to bottom of the league and are one of only 2 teams who have gained no points from their 3 games so far.

Striker Abass Cheikh Dieng opened the scoring for the home side after 7 minutes.  Then, thanks to an accurate pass from the Senegalese striker, Binh Duong’s midfielder Trong Hoang scored the second in the 22nd minute.  Five minutes later, Dieng completed his double, and his team went in at half time with a 3-0 lead.

In the 55th minute, a penalty was awarded to SHB DN after a foul on midfielder Hoang Quang, but striker Pejic missed the chance to score.  Strikers Gomez and Ho Ngoc Thang, who had both been brought on as substitutes, scored in the 80th minute and in second-half stoppage time respectively.   This allowed SHB DN to narrow the gap to 3-2, but it was too late - Binh Duong hung on to win the match and remain unbeaten in the league so far.

In the other matches, Dong Thap had an easy 4-1 home win over Dong Nai, Can Tho were defeated 2-3 by Quang Ninh at the Can Tho Stadium, and Dong Tam Long An drew 1-1 at home against Song Lam Nghe An.  In a remarkable match at the Hang Day Stadium, QNK Quang Nam scored 3 times in the last 10 minutes to steal a 4-4 draw against Ha Noi T&T.

Khanh Hoa played out a goalless draw against Hai Phong, and Hoang Anh Gia Lai were beaten 1-2 at home by Thanh Hoa.

On Wednesday 21 January all 7 matches in round 4 take place, with SHB DN at home to Ha Noi T&T at 4.30pm.
