The ASEAN cultural festival, initiated by the Embassy of Viet Nam, was co-organised by local authorities and the Embassies of Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines in the Czech Republic.

The event featured a wide range of activities, including showcases of Vietnamese traditional “long-dress” costumes, Dong Ho folk paintings and photos of Vietnamese people and their livelihoods across the country.

A number of traditional art performances also drew the attention of local viewers, such as lion dances, conical hat dances, “chau van” (spiritual singing), “Quan ho” (love duet) singing and others.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son said the festival is part of activities to mark the 65th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and the host nation.

He also pledged to continue working with other ASEAN Embassies in the Czech Republic to organise exchanges, including ASEAN film week and ASEAN family festival to foster solidarity and friendship among regional countries and with local people.
