Swan Lake, one of the world’s well-known ballets, will be staged live and in a 3D format in Ha Noi early next month.

The performance by around 100 artists from Russian ballet theater Talarium et Lux is scheduled to take place on August 1 at the Viet Nam National Convention Center.

Directed by famed producer, ballet dancer and also head of the theater Mikhail Lavrovsky, Swan Lake is a harmonious combination between classical moves and modern technology, which results in a ballet dance with background music, light and illustration in a 3D format displayed on five big screens.

The performance was previously showcased in several countries, including Germany, France, Italy, and Israel.

The stage of the Viet Nam National Convention Center will be adjusted and turned into a real ballet stage that meets international standards, following the requirements from Talarium et Lux.

Swan Lake is a ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1875 – 1876. The scenario tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse.

It was premiered on March 4, 1877 at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
