Talented swimmer Phuoc to train in Hungary
At a meeting with local talented swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Dang Viet Dung, sympathised with Phuoc about his recent loss of form.
Phuoc said that he had been suffering from chronic pain in his lower back prior to his attendance at the 28th Southeast Asian Games. He tried to overcome his pain and perform as best he could, but the more effort he exerted, the more serious his injury became.

Vice Chairman Dung affirmed that the city leaders and the local Sports and Physical Training Sector would always create favourable conditions for the 22-year-old to gain more successes in the future. He also remarked that top priority will be given to curing Phuoc's injuries.
He added that, after Phuoc’s injuries are completely cured, the local Sports and Physical Training Sector will ask the Viet Nam Sports Administration to send Phuoc to train in Hungary instead of returning to Japan. A coach will go along with Phuoc to provide the best care for him and to support him in his bid to compete in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
