Kayaking tours on the Han River, which were started a few months ago by the Da Nang Kayak Club, are now drawing a great deal of attention from both local residents and visitors.

The Head of the Club, Mr Le Hoang Minh, said that the tours aim to create useful playgrounds for lovers of kayaking.

The Club’s Manager, Mr Nguyen Van Hung, said that the tours were initially only open to club members, who have a great passion for this kind of water sport.  However, since then, the Club has opened the tours to the public due to an increased demand for this sport from a large number of local residents and visitors.

The tours operate on Mondays to Fridays from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, departing from the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.  The route is the water section from the Dragon Bridge to the Han River Bridge, and then back.

Those who have the necessary skills for kayaking might then take a longer route from the Han River to the Tien Sa Port, the Van Village, or the Co Co River.
