In detail, street music performances will take place on a section of Bach Dang’s riverside walk, opposite the Han Market, on the Saturday evenings of 22 April, 13 May, 27 May, 10 June, and 24 June.

At 8.00pm on 29 April, 27 May and 24 June, street parades of live music and dancing will be held along a section of Tran Hung Dao between the Rong (Dragon) Bridge and its intersection with Ly Nam De.  The parades will feature exciting trumpet performances of Vietnamese and foreign songs.

Local residents and visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the Community Cultural Space programme at the Bien Dong (East Sea) Park in Son Tra District between 19 May and 4 June.  In addition, an International Lifeguard Competition will take place at the same venue on 2 May.

Between 7.00pm and 9.00pm on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in April, May and June (9 and 23 April, 14 and 28 May, and 11 and 25 June), ‘Weekend Playground’ programmes will take place either at the eastern end of the Han River Bridge or at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, opposite the Museum of Cham Sculpture.

Impressive ‘Bai Choi’ (singing while acting as playing cards) and Tuong (classic drama) performances will take place on the pavement of Tran Hung Dao at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge at 7.30pm every Sunday between April and June.

The opening week of the Beach Tourism Season 2017 will be 27 April to 3 May, whilst the ‘Summer Destination’ programme will take place in June.  Both events will be based at the Bien Dong (East Sea) Park.

Each Friday through to Sunday of the last weeks of the 3 months of April, May and June, an umbrella art installation will be mounted at the eastern end of the Han River Bridge on Tran Hung Dao.  Artists from the city will use hundreds of colourful umbrellas to create a garden of trees and flowers.

At the same venue, street arts performances will be held at 7.30 pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of April, May and June (1 and 15 April, 6 and 20 May, and 3 and 17 June).

An ‘International Cuisine Space’ will take place on the western bank of the Han River near the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge from 6.00am to 10.00pm daily between 20 April and 30 June.  It will provide an array of delicious dishes and exciting music based on the 5 elements of the ancient oriental philosophy.

Numerous attractive tours will be introduced for DIFF visitors.  Included are: Son Tra Sunset Tours offering a breathtaking sunset panorama, and a bird’s eye view of the Son Tra Peninsula and a corner of the city from 500m above sea level.  There will also be other tours to the Son Tra Peninsula - to discover the Linh Ung Pagoda or the over 1000-year-old banyan tree.

Between April and June, exciting arts performances will take place at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge at weekends to entertain the audiences waiting to enjoy the dragon's head performing.

Finally, fascinating street festivals will take place along certain inner-city streets every Friday from 5 May to 23 June.  These events will feature parades of eye-catching flower-decorated floats representing the 8 participating countries, along with others from Da Nang.
