According to Master Chef Pham Tuan Hai, the cuisine centre aims to promote the DIFF scheduled for 5 nights between 30 April and 24 June. It will open throughout the summer, until September.
The cuisine centre at 1 Phan Dang Luu in Hai Chau District, near the Asia Park - the city’s biggest entertainment centre, can accomodate a total of 4,000 visitors to taste Vietnamese and local specialties, including vegetarian food.
“We also set up 5 food zones, each based on one of the 5 basic elements - metal, wood, water, fire and earth - serving bbq, street food, local traditional food from the north, central and south regions of Viet Nam,” Hai said.
“It will be an attractive destination where local gastronomers and tourists can explore the most delicious food across the country,” he said.
He said the best restaurants and hotels are invited to serve at the centre.
According to organisers, the centre will also offer entertainment activities and fun games for visitors all day.
Also during the fireworks festival, 5 hot-air balloons will fly in the sky of Da Nang from 27 - 30 April. The organisers will use the balloons and paragliding pilots to release confetti on the opening night on 30 April.
Eight teams - from Austria, Italy, Australia, United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Japan and host Viet Nam - will compete in 5 performances on the Han River over the 2-month festival.
Host Da Nang and Fireevent Die Feuerwerker from Austria will perform on the opening night, whilst the Tamaya Katahara Fireworks team from Japan and Sugyp from Switzerland will do the 2nd night on 20 May.
