Twenty-five students from football faculty at the Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports participated in a training course from the US envoys on how to play and organise sport events.

The sport programme was rounded off in the city with a football festival for a total of 100 pupils at Da Nang’s SOS Children's Village and the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special School for Disabled Children.

The Sports Envoy programme is a global sports mentoring programme of the US Department of State. It mobilises professional athletes, coaches and administrators in a range of sports to engage underserved youth, particularly girls.
