Nestled on Ho Nghinh, the 400-year-old communal house was built in the reign of Emperor Gia Long (1802 - 1819) of the Nguyen Dynasty. In the resistance war against the French, a secret tunnel was dug under the house in order to provide a secret shelter for revolutionary cadres. The house was rebuilt in 1998.
An annual incense-offering ceremony, in commemoration of local ancestors and heroes, takes place at the house on the 10th day of the 6th lunar month which this year fell on 3 July.
The Communal House was officially recognised as a municipal-level historical relic site in April. This brings the total number of relic sites under municipal-level protection to 51.
