These songs will be recorded in France by music producer Nguyen Thanh Tu with the collaboration of pianist Cao Thanh Lan, clarinetist Nguyen Minh Hoang and a string quartet.
At the concerts at L’Espace, the songstress will be accompanied by Nguyen Minh Hoang on clarinet, Cao Thanh Lan on piano, Nguyen Cong Thang and Le Tuan Anh on violin, Ho Viet Khoa on alto viola, and Nguyen Thanh Tu on cello.
Tickets cost 500,000 VND, 400,000 VND, and 300,000 VND for L’Espace members and students. Tickets are available at L’Espace. The concerts will start at 8.00pm.
A native of Da Nang, Ly was a student of the Da Nang University until 2006, when she decided to give up her studies to go to HCM City and enroll in the violin department of the city’s Conservatory of Music, where she started to compose songs. In 2008, she won several prizes at the ‘Bai Hat Viet (Vietnamese Song) programme organised by Viet Nam Television, including ‘Song of the Month’ and ‘Song of the Year’ for her song ‘Chenh Venh’, and the Promising Young Singer.
In 2009, Ly was invited by French singer Francis Cabrel to join him during his concert in Ha Noi. One year later, the then young singer was invited to perform 3 sold-out nights at L’Espace. She released her debut album ‘Le Cat Trong Ly’ in January 2011.
